Do you remember my monthly inspo posts? Should I bring them back?
Nothing inspires me like pictures do. I can sit for hours on Pinterest and pin beautiful pictures that puts a smile on my face. For 2023 I want to focus more on myself. I will get back to daily meditations – yoga and manifesting.
The pictures above really makes me excited for a new year as they give me motivation and that good feeling. One of my goals for this year is to read at least 20 books – and I’ve already checked off one book already – yay! What are your goals for 2023?
Twelve chapters are over. Another 365 days are gone. This year has had it’s ups and down. I started of 2022 with a lot of optimism – and I was excited for a new year. I finally got to go back to work after months of staying home due to the pandemic. My family and I went on a trip to Hemsedal. We laughed. We snowboarded – and we had a wonderful time.
2022 was also the year I turned 30. The big 30. I was excited to start a new decade and I celebrated with all my family and dearest friends. Then easter came.. and I got covid!
Little did I know that this year should turn out to be one of the not so good years. After I started to feel a little better – when the fever and cough went away – I was left with this burning sensation in my stomach and chest – and I never knew it was going to last for the next 9 months. The burning chest. The stomach pain. Constant acid reflux. And when I thought it couldn’t get any worse.. The chronic nausea came to stay.
The summer of my dreams.. didn’t quite turn out as planned, but I’m grateful I got to do a little traveling this past summer. Even though I ended up spending two whole days of our vacation in a pitch black hotel room with a headache and stomach pain – I did have fun and the memories will last for a lifetime.
This year I’ve spent weeks in bed and I’ve cried tons of tears – but it hasn’t been all bad. I have smiled. I have laughed. I have made memories. All the suffering and pain has given me a new perspective on life and it has made me appreciate the good days even more. You don’t know how good life is until something happens and you can’t enjoy it the way you used to.
Two months ago I was finally diagnosed with IBS and a hiatal hernia after months of pain, tears and suffer. I’m now glad I know the cause of my symptoms and pain and I really hope 2023 will be a better year for me. I pray every single day that my chronic nausea will say goodbye and leave me all alone.
Last month we decided to try the vacation thing again and we jumped on a plane to Spain. I was afraid I was going to spend another vacay in bed, but it actually turned out better than expected. Maybe it was the sun? Or the warm weather or happy memories? But I ended up having a great time and I’ll forever be grateful for that trip! Grateful to my body for not making me feel worse, but maybe even a little better?! I got a break from it all – and it was just what I needed!
Even if the year wasn’t completely what I wanted or what I hoped for – it is the journey called life. We all walk on a path, and where it will take us – nobody knows – but at the end it will all turn out for the better. I’m now ready to start fresh and I’m ready for the opportunities and adventures that lay ahead in 2023.

This quote really touched my heart. Each and every year we get a new chance. A new book filled with 365 pages – so what are you going to do this coming year? In 2023 I will live by this quote. We only have one life and once we realize it – we can finally start living. What do you REALLY want to do? How do you want to live? Think about that and promise me that you’re going to give yourself a year to do YOU. If you don’t really feel like doing something.. then don’t.
In 2023 learn to say no. Leave negative energy behind. Take a chance. Start to hang out with people that get’s you excited about life. Say goodbye to those that doesn’t give you hope or excitement. If someone or something takes your energy away – your hope – your dreams.. it’s time to leave it all behind – and whatever you do – don’t turn around. Let’s make 2023 a better year – even if it may turn out just the same as last year – you can at least say that you did try. If you want to change school.. Do it. Not happy at work? Quit. If you dream about opening your own business.. Get started. I believe in you and I want you to create memories. And I want you to create the life that you really want.
I’ve decided that in 2023 I’m going to follow my dreams. I will find inner peace and focus on my mental heath and seek inwards. I will learn to say no. I want to stress down with daily meditation and yoga. I will live each day. Appreciate each minute and all my good days. I want to give myself this year – from me to me. It’s time to leave the negative thoughts and words behind. Let’s bring on positivity, peace and a happy mindset.
So even if things are a little bit hard right now.. Remember that all your wounds will heal, but you’ll have to be patient, because it will take time. Maybe Days. Weeks. Or even months.. But when that day finally comes; you’ll see how beautiful life can be! All my best wishes ♥

I’m using some of my favorite products in this tutorial, and if there’s ONE palette you need this summer – it’s the “BLOOD SUGAR PALETTE” by Jeffree Star Cosmetics. The colors are beautiful – the pigment is there, and the best part: the shadows last ALL day. This has been one of my favorite palette to grab for bold looks because of it’s bright colors, and not to mention.. all the variety of pink and red shades. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.

Long time, no see! So a lot of people have requested me to film a “Walk In Closet Tour” and I finally got around to do it. When I bought this place I already had plans to build a custom walk-in closet and I dedicated a spare room – opened up the wall into the bedroom to get the full experience.
I looked at tons of different closets and ended up getting the IKEA PAX SYSTEM – and I couldn’t be any happier with my choice. I’m the kind of person that loves to re-decorate. I get bored easily of the same old and I love to change things around from time to time – and this closet allows me to do exactly that.
The PAX SYSTEM has been around for years and what I really love is that once they get new add-ons, drawers, shelves or inserts you can always buy those and add them to your closet system instead of getting a whole new closet.
I knew that I wanted a lot of hanging space for my clothes, a place to store all my shoes and handbags and some drawers to have the rest of my clothes in – and IKEA have so many inserts to choose from to customize the closet to fit your needs and your budget.

My best tip for those of you that want your own walk-in closet is to start out small and then build on to your closet when your budget allows it. You can start with the wardrobe frames, some clothings racks and shelves, before adding on drawers and different inserts. The best thing about this closet system is that there’s endless possibilities to customize your closet – and they have something for everybody.

So first room up in my HOUSE MAKEOVER SERIES are my new BEAUTY ROOM. I’m so excited to share this room tour with you guys as it is one of my favorite rooms in my new home. This time around I had triple the size to work with when it came to furniture and decorating and I just love how much more space I have now – compared to my old glam room.
I just love how cute and girly my new room turned out! It’s like my own, personal store that I can just go and shop in every single day! So since I filmed this video I have moved some furnitures around and added a permanent filming space in the room so I don’t need to move some of the furnitures around every time. Now I can just walk right in to my beauty space – sit down and start to film – which makes it all a lot easier! But I will show you the whole setup in a separate post/video since many of you have asked me to do a “Filming Setup Video” – so stay tuned for that!
Almost all of my furnitures can be found at IKEA – except from that little footstool that I use to sit on while doing my make-up. My vanity is the MALM dressing table – and I really like this one because it has a huge, long drawer that can fit so much stuff. This is where I have my cotton pads, q-tips and all my essentials that I use on a daily basis while doing my makeup.
The bookshelves that I use for displaying cute items and makeup is the GERSBY BOOKCASESthat works wonders for storing shoes, handbags and whatever you want to display. These are not as tall or wide as the BILLY bookshelves that I used to have in my old beauty room, so they will work wonders if you have a small space to work with. So I went with 4 of these shelves in my glam space since my roof is a little lower in the corners and these fitted perfectly.
For storing my makeup I use two different kind of furnitures. I have the “famous” ALEX drawer units that pretty much everyone has these days. I have four of these – two and two stocked upon each other to get the most out of the space. These are amazing for storing your makeup in – but also like hair accessories, jewelry or whatever you want to store! But once I moved I wanted to try out something different as well, so I went with the KALLAX shelf unit and added drawers to them which you can buy separately. These units come in different sizes so I’m sure you’ll find one that fits your room perfectly!
I tend to rotate on my decor pieces and re-organize my room once in a while – but most of my decor pieces I buy at IKEA or different local stores like SKEIDAR, BOHUS or at the local mall. For makeup organizers I’m a huge fan of ebay and amazon – so I’m sure you’ll find whatever you’re looking for online. If you have any questions be sure to leave me a comment!
Hello World! Hope your week is going well. I can’t believe we’re in March already – like what happened to February? I’ve also entered my third trimester since my last blog post which is kind of crazy! It feels like I’ve been pregnant forever, but yet, these past few weeks just flew by, just like that, and now – it’s kind of going WAY TOO FAST!
Like I’m not ready!!! But I guess the question I should ask are: “Will you ever get ready?”. If you have any questions regarding pregnancy or stuff you just want to know – I’ll be filming a third trimester update video and also answer all of your questions in there so be sure to leave a little comment down below.

Evening, sweeties! Long time, no see. I hope you’re all doing well! It’s been a while.. Like a looooong while – and EVERYTHING has changed! If you are subscribed to my youtube channel you probably already know all about it! And if not.. You’re in for a sweet, little treat!
So the last post I wrote here on my beloved blog is dated back to October, and I guess if someone asks: “What happened?” – the correct answer would be: “Life. Life happened!” Like no matter how much you try to make a plan and stick to it – sometimes, you just can’t control how it all turns out. And trust me – I’m a BIG believer in whatever happens – happens for a reason! But if you were to ask me when I first moved to Sweden where I would be in my life today – at this exact date – my answer would be completely different – but let’s face reality…
To mention a few things that have happened these last couple of months without writing a whole book chapter:
+ I’m pregnant – and about to enter the last and final trimester. I can’t believe I’m going to become a mother in just a few couple of weeks. Time has gone by so slow, but at the same time – too fast!
+ I moved back to Norway and got a new job. When I first moved to Sweden I had no plan to move back home. I was going to take some classes, get a good job and start a whole new life over there, but I guess you can say that that didn’t got as planned since my life had a total turnover in a blink of an eye.
+ My boyfriend left and I got my heart shuttered. And let me tell you – it was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through – especially since I’m pregnant as well. It took me a long time to feel okay again and I had so many sleepless nights. Every day felt like a “forever sunday” that never had an ending. Nightmare on nightmare. Tears. Lots of tears – and it all just kind of fell apart, just like that, in a second. But I know it was for the best – the relationship was too toxic for me and pretty much broken by lies and all that follows. I slowly managed to build myself up and put myself back together – one step at the time. Piece by piece. One day I smiled and I knew – instantly there and then – it would all be okay!
+ I bought an apartment – and I’ve spent the last 4 months doing a TOTAL MAKEOVER over at my new place! So for those of you who are interested in seeing the process and all the changes that I’ve made so far – I already have some update/home vlogs up on my youtube channel. And once I’m all done with the place and I have moved in (which hopefully will be before my birthday in March) I will do a complete HOUSE TOUR and show you before and after pics here on le blog – so stay tuned!!
So as you probably understand – my life has been a little bumpy these last 6 months, but I’m all good. Excited for the future. And I’m now ready to get back into weekly blogging – and I’ll from now on write a lot more about my daily life, my struggles and everything that comes to mind.
And for all of my beautiful moms out there – I will talk more about pregnancy – how it has been for me and all that follows! I will also write more about baby stuff when that time comes and life as a single mom in general. So when it comes to make-up products – foundations has to be my favorite item to try out and I’m always on the hunt for that perfect foundation to give my skin the type of finish that I desire – and to be honest I’ve tried a few (or actually way too many) the last couple of years and I therefore wanted to share my TOP 5 HIGH END foundations with you. I’ve tried to select ones with different finishes, style and texture to give you a few different options depending on your skin type:
So the first one is by far my number one foundation if I want that perfect amount of cover and flawless skin. The CHANEL PERFECTION LUMIERE gives medium to full cover depending on application and layers. It will dry down to a natural “matte” finish and works well on normal to oily skin. This is a long-wear foundation and I absolutely love this one! The only down side about it is that it comes in 8 different shades – so the range is not huge – but it gets a lot darker just one shade up so finding the perfect shades can be hard. I personally use 020, 030 and 040 depending on how tan I am.
Next one up is the FACE AND BODY FOUNDATION from Mac Cosmetics. This is a very sheer, yet gorgeous foundation for those of you who just want a little hint of color – and for those who likes to even out the skin tone a little bit. This gives you a very natural and luminous look and will leave the skin looking fresh and fabulous. I love this for summer when I have a darker tan – or just to get that “perfect” skin on a daily basis. I just spot conceal where I need that extra cover and then I’m adding a layer of this beauty on top to even out the skin. This foundation also give moist/hydration to the skin which makes it perfect for those with a dry or normal skin type.
3. Number three is theMARC JACOBS RE(MARC)ABLE FOUNDATIONwhich I loved from day one when I first tried this one out. This is a full coverage foundation that will leave your skin looking perfect without feeling heavy on the skin. You only need a few drops of this to cover the whole face and the cover is remarcable. You see what I just did there? This will last you a very long time and should absolutely been in your make-up bag. The only thing about this one is that it can be a bit dry – so I would get a tester before buying if you have dry skin – or at least use a good moisturizer and a hydrating primer underneath. This foundation comes in 12 different shades and can be bought at Sephora.
4. Next up is one of my holy grail foundations and it’s theLOCK-IT FOUNDATION from Kat Von D. This is also a very pigmented foundation that will give you that perfect full coverage look – but it’s a lot thicker than the Re(marc)able one if you’re not into that. It will even out every imperfection that you want to get rid off and it’s also long-lasting. The formula of this one will leave your skin matte, but if you’re oily it will get a little luminous throughout the day if you’re not setting it with a powder – so I would say that this fits every skin type even if you’re having dry skin. You can get this at Sephora as well and it comes in 27 different shades.
5. Last, but not least we have my newest favorite when it comes to foundations – the FENTY BEAUTY PRO FILT´R SOFT MATTE FOUNDATION. I got this a couple of months back and I’m loving how it makes my skin look. This will give you a medium to full cover as well – depending on how you apply it – and leave your face looking flawless without being too heavy. This foundation comes in 40 different shades which is amazing and the finish of this one is matte – but I feel like it’s more on the natural “matte” side – so it won’t make your skin look dry. An absolutely must-have if you’re on the hunt for a new foundation!

So summer’s here – and that also means festival season. It’s time to bring out the flower crowns and be a little creative! This is definitely one of my favorite seasons of the year, because I get to play with bold colors and add a little – or more like a lot – of sparkle. The possibilities are endless when it comes to creating a fun festival look – I mean, you can do pretty much whatever comes to you mind – and still get away with it!

Happy Weekend ♥ I’m so sorry for my absent on the blog for the past months – there’s been a lot happening – but I swear I’ll be a better blogger from now on. To get you guys up to speed I’ve moved and I’ve also been traveling a lot. I guess I’ve had three nights in my own bed for the past month or so – and I recently spent a week in New York which got me so inspired and motivated to focus on my passions which are make-up, my youtube channel and blog. I’m not sure what it is, but somehow New York has put a spell on me. Every single time I’m there I get re-charged with inspiration – and it will always feel like home to me. And when I’m away – I miss the city. The vibe. The lights. And the people.
But over to the move – it’s been a month since I left Norway behind and moved to Sweden – and so far Stockholm has been treating me pretty good. It has always been on my to-do list and I can’t quite believe I’m living here now, but I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I’m going to take my hairstylist education over here which starts in August and I’m so excited to expand my skills when it comes to work. And who knows where to future will take me?! But right now – I’m just gonna enjoy every single moment of it! And to be honest – for the first time, in a very long time, I’m genuinely happy!
