Hello World ♥ I’m now safe and sound back in Norway – or more jet-legged with a messed up sleep routine. I can wake up at 5am or 6 pm – it’s all just a huge chaos. The weirdest part is that when I was in New York I was able to go to sleep around 1am every single night and I still wake up without an alarm at 9am. So I guess I should just pack all my things and move.. If it only was that simple, right?!
So the plan was to blog a lot when I was in New York, but the time just flew and before I knew it I was on my way back home. The week went way too fast and there were always something happening. We got up early every day and just walked around in the streets for hours – I haven’t walked that much in years to say at least.
The trip was wonderful and I already want to go back. It’s something about New York – something special which makes me love that city beyond any place else I’ve been. Maybe it’s the lights, the streets, the sights or maybe just the vibe I get when I’m there which I don’t get anywhere else.
I can’t believe it has been 6 – almost 7 years since I lived in New York. I mean – where did all the time go? Nothing really had changed – except from a few stores that had changed location and some new and exciting ones that suddenly appeared. This time, since I went with my boyfriend who’ve never been to The Big Apple – we did some “sightseeing” things as well as a lot of shopping, eating at my favorite restaurants and walked around at the spots where I used to spend my time back in the days.
One of my favorite things to do when in NYC is to visit the Empire State Building at night. It’s just magical to watch all the lights, so if you’re ever going to the city be sure to add that to your “to-do” list. The view is breathtaking! I didn’t bring my canon camera so these pictures don’t even compare ♥
We were also very lucky to see all the Christmas decorations and store window displays since we went pretty early after the holidays which was incredible! It got me to miss the old days when it was my daily thing to just walk around and get in the holiday spirit just by looking around. I also has to mention one of my favorite department stores – Saks at 5th Avenue which had the most gorgeous holiday show outside! I just can’t get over it! I filmed every single day so there’s now a vlog up on my youtube channel if you’re interested in following me around for the whole week – yay! ♥
New York I’ll see you soon! Have a lovely weekend, loves ♥
