I Know Everything Happens For A Reason..

.. but this reason hurts.

When I was young I used to believe in fairytales, until reality proved me wrong. In the world it’s basically you against the world. You have to be able to take the pain and get back up on your feet – even if it means losing people you care about. You have to be able to move on without looking back. It will hurt. I know, but when it all comes to an end – you don’t have a choice.

As we grow older – we learn that even the one person who wasn’t supposed to let you down – probably will. You’ll break hearts and you’ll have your heart broken, probably more than once. You’ll fight with your dearest, and you may even fall in love with them. You’ll blame your new boyfriend for things an old one did. You’ll feel happiness. And pain. You’ll cry your heart out and you’ll lose someone you hold close to your heart.

So this is where I say I’ve had enough, there’s a reason I said I’d be happy alone. It wasn’t because I thought it was the truth – far from it – it was because I thought if I let myself fall for you and you suddenly decided to walk away, I might not make it. We got some good memories I’ll carry with me. There are things I’ll hold close to my heart. Maybe it wasn’t all wonderful, but what is? I had tears. I had laughs. I had love. There are things I never want to let go of, but I’ll keep in mind that letting go isn’t the end
of the world, it’s the beginning of a new journey.

So when someone walks out of your life, let them. There’s still a lot of unwritten chapters to come. The book won’t write itself so don’t go waisting you time on people that decides to leave you. What you make of yourself and your future is no longer
tied to those who walks away.

Yes, it will hurt, and you will miss them, but when you’re standing at that point – remember that you weren’t the one that gave up, so don’t you ever be afraid to laugh way too much, love like you’ve never been hurt, because every single minute you’re feeling mad or upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back and in the end,
the truth is that life’s way too short..
